Call for Interest (2018/19)

Student-led Collaborations

Are you interested in interdisciplinary research which embraces creativity?

Following the TheoArtistry Composers’ Scheme (2016/17) and TheoArtistry Poets’ Scheme (2018), we are delighted to announce a new collaborative project to commence next semester. University of St Andrews postgraduate students from any discipline are welcome to participate.

These new student-led collaborations will provide you with the opportunity to devise your own research project which brings together the approaches of theology and the arts. You can choose to contribute as a researcher, a creative artist, or both.

Participants will select a theological theme or text, working with their designated partner(s) to develop creative methodologies in theological research.

The 2018/9 partnerships will place emphasis on process rather than product. As such, you will be asked to keep a record of your collaboration by creating a ‘scrapbook’ of notes, research and/or creative responses on your chosen theme. You will round off your participation by producing a short critical reflection or academic blog post on your collaboration experience.

All postgraduate students at the University of St Andrews are invited to register their interest in the project. Previous experience in the field of theology and the arts is not required!

Please complete the online response form by 8th December 2018.

The start date and time-scale of collaborations is flexible, so please get in touch if you are concerned about the time commitment.

All queries about the project are welcome. Contact Rebekah Dyer.
